RAKOLL®-LP 8022 – Water-Based Wood Adhesive with D3/D4 Resistance

RAKOLL®-LP 8022 is a water-based PVAc adhesive designed for woodworking applications requiring strength, durability, and reliability. As a one-component adhesive, it meets D3 requirements under DIN EN 204, and when combined with the RAKOLL®-GXL 3 hardener, it achieves D4 resistance for applications with demanding moisture conditions.

  • D3 classification (EN 204): suitable for interior applications with intermittent exposure to moisture.
  • One-component “water-resistant” B3-class adhesive — increased reliability in humid environments or where tight bonding is required.
  • Defined processing parameters — for example, an open time of 9–10 minutes at 150 g/m².
  • Can be applied evenly via roller or notched trowel; proper pressing is essential for surface contact and strong bonding.

Ideal for:

  • Furniture production and woodworking where secure bonding of wooden surfaces is essential.
  • Veneer, HPL/CPL lamination, and assembly of wood components exposed to higher humidity or occasional water contact.
  • Applications requiring a strong, stable bond, such as frames, wooden assemblies, and interior woodwork needing moisture resistance.
  • Wood moisture should be 8–10% for optimal bonding.
  • Ambient and material temperature should be 18–20 °C.
  • Glue spread: 80–140 g/m² for surface bonding, ~150 g/m² for assembly work.
  • Clean tools before the adhesive dries — with water or suitable solvent.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from excessive heat or frost.
