RAKOLL®-Express 25 Plus – General PVA Adhesive for Woodworking Applications

Rakoll Express® 25 Plus is a water-based PVA adhesive designed for a wide range of woodworking applications. It offers high final bond strength, excellent resistance to dynamic loads, and stable static load performance. It dries to a light brown, semi-transparent film.

  • High final strength with strong static and dynamic load resistance.
  • Ideal for frame assembly, manual bonding of coated furniture parts, board jointing, and block-wood bonding.
  • Suitable for both hard and soft woods as well as particleboard.
  • Application and spreading rates: 140–200 g/m² for assembly; 80–140 g/m² for surface bonding.
  • Open time at 150 g/m²: 6–9 minutes under typical conditions (18–20 °C room temperature, 8–10% wood moisture).

Suitable for:

  • Furniture manufacturing — frame assembly, joints, and coated furniture components.
  • Edge and board jointing where fast handling strength and reliability are required.
  • Wood constructions such as block-wood and processed components with medium pressing times.
  • Ambient, material, and adhesive temperature should be 18–20 °C.
  • Wood moisture should be 8–10%.
  • Apply adhesive according to the recommended quantities and press components until initial strength is achieved.
  • The product does not discolor wood, but iron combined with tannic acid (e.g. in oak veneer) may cause color changes.
  • Clean tools with water before the adhesive dries.
  • Store in its original sealed packaging in a cool, dry location, protected from sunlight, humidity, and frost.
  • A dependable PVA adhesive offering excellent final strength and medium pressing times.
